Admissions Procedures and Timeline

Timeline	Process
AUGUST, 2026	Applications available online August 1, 2026. You are welcome to submit an application online in August, per the Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY) calendar. Applications will be processed starting in September 2026. Apply, reserve a place at our in-person Open House and book an in-person school tour through our online admissions portal. Please call us with any questions along the way.
OCTOBER, 2026	An Open House for parents/guardians who have applied to the school will be offered in-person.
NOVEMBER 30, 2026	Application deadline for the 2027-2028 school year.
OCT. 2026-FEB. 2027	Small group in-person tours for parents/guardians who have applied to the school. Reserve a place through our online admissions portal. “Community Conversations”: See the parent checklist on our online admissions portal for details and registration. Play visits for children can be scheduled by families on the Admissions Portal.
FEBRUARY 25, 2027	Admissions decision notification, via email not before 8AM, in accordance with the ISAAGNY calendar.
MARCH 4, 2027	Parent reply deadline, no later than noon, in accordance with the ISAAGNY calendar.
APRIL, 2027	New Parent Welcome Reception
MAY, 2027	Playdates at school for new families.

Early Decision Applications

MAPCDS offers an early decision notification option for established members of our community, including siblings, legacies (children of MAPCDS alumnae), Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church members who have been active members of the church for the one year prior to applying, and those enrolled in the Mini Madison: Babies and Toddlers Program.

Timeline	Process
SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER	Eligible families may opt in for early decision notification. Opt-in must be received by November 30th. To inquire about eligibility, please email us at Admissions@MAPC.com.
DECEMBER 9, 2026	Admissions decision notification via email, on December 9th not earlier than 12 noon in accordance with the ISAAGNY calendar.
DECEMBER 16, 2026	Parent reply deadline, no later than noon, in accordance with the ISAAGNY calendar.

Early Decision Eligibility and Process

For sibling, legacy, and church member applicants: If you sign the Early Opt-In Form and are accepted, you are required to sign the contract and withdraw all other applications to peer schools.

For Mini Madison: Babies and Toddler Program families without sibling, legacy, or church member status: You may still request Early Decision notification. However, you are not required to sign the contract if accepted. Please be sure to select the correct drop-down option when completing the Early Decision form.

Please note: Submitting the Early Opt-In Form has no impact on admissions decisions, nor does the Early Opt-In Form guarantee a spot for your child.
